Getting married in Costa Rica is a simple process and Costa Rica Tropical Wedding's will give you expert advice concerning legal requirements so that your marriage is legally recognized in your country of origin. Blood tests, a minimum stay time on Costa Rican soil or birth and civil status certificates are not required. In order to be legally married in Costa Rica, a lawyer will have to be present at the ceremony. The lawyer will contact you prior to your arrival to ask you for the only paper work required: a form with general information such as civil status, occupation, parent’s names, age, etc. and the copy of your passports. The lawyer will then prepare all the necessary legal documents in Costa Rica and, on your wedding day, you will only have to sign them after the ceremony.
